The Korean entertainment industry has been at its peak for a significant amount of time. The world has come to appreciate and even obsess over every release of both K-pop and K-dramas.

True! K-pop has become much known all over the world. But it is safe to say that K-dramas have garnered a fair share of popularity across nations!

But why so? What difference does the program possess that people from different countries and cultures end up being in love with these masterpieces? Here’s what I think!

First off, the storyline. After watching a fair amount of Korean dramas, one would surely come to appreciate how well-thought the films are in general. Plots that would literally make viewers feel as if they are riding this roller coaster of emotions. Scared, Excited, Worried, Mad, and Frustrated. People may even end up in so many tears as if the scenes were stories of their own! The uniqueness of their storyline really highlights not just the celebrities, but also the people behind every scene. So much talent and intelligence indeed!

Of course, let’s not forget what major factor paved these dramas' way to people’s hearts! The actors and actresses! Let’s admit it! Their visuals and charisma are no joke at all! It’s given how the primary factor for attraction is whatever that meets the eye. And these celebrities are total “eye candies”! The talent, skills, and discipline that these celebrities possess have been known to the public as well. That’s definitely another reason to drool over these personalities! The amount of work and training that each character has gone through really shows, and definitely justifies the efforts of the people behind the camera.

When discussed, there sure are a lot more reasons why we have been so drawn into Korean films. But my personal favorite is how these dramas are very informative and educational. Sure, many films also cover a variety of genres. But what is most unique about most Korean dramas is how they really dive deeper into each genre and show us, viewers, what it really is like to become doctors, lawyers, soldiers, writers, reporters, idols, or even public relations managers working in the entertainment industry. These dramas do not only give us a glimpse of what all these professions are in general, but also in-depth facts and real-life situations one may go through, and of course, with a touch of romance! The balance keeps us from being overwhelmed and is just enough to catch our attention, in this case, for a long period!
