As a trainee virtual assistant, I jumped into learning about social media and Facebook ads. One cool task was setting up a Facebook page and I chose to create one for a thrift shop. It was fun choosing photos of unique finds and sharing tips on sustainable fashion to catch people's interest. I also got to chat with followers, answering questions and chatting about the product availability and deets.
When it came to Facebook ads, I felt like a detective, trying to figure out who might be interested in thrift shopping. I learned how to target ads to specific groups of people, like fashion enthusiasts or eco-conscious shoppers. Checking how my ads were doing taught me a lot too. Seeing which ads got the most clicks or likes helped us tweak our strategy to get better results without spending too much money.
Looking back on my time as a trainee, I'm grateful for the hands-on experience I got with social media and ads. It's exciting to think about using these skills to help businesses grow in the future.
As a frontline support representative, focusing on managing comments on Facebook and Instagram was my main task, and it includes answering product questions and giving personalized nutrition advice.
I approached each interaction with care, aiming to provide helpful and empathetic responses. Building trust and connection with our online community was important to me, and I strived to maintain authenticity in all communications.
Though there were challenges, I grew and learned from each experience. Looking ahead, I remain committed to delivering excellent service and fostering genuine connections in the digital world.
In 2020, I began a job as a Training and People Sourcing Associate, where I used Facebook Ads to attract candidates for our TESDA Class and help companies find top talent. While we mainly relied on other methods for finding candidates, like networking and outreach, we found that boosting our posts on Facebook also contributed to our success.
We only ran two ads for our two main campaigns, one for TESDA and one for BPO recruitment. Despite this limited advertising, we achieved remarkable results. The ads helped us reach our targets and attract a diverse pool of candidates.
Here's how our campaigns performed:
The TESDA campaign cost us $3 and garnered 735 views, with each view costing approximately $.004. We successfully met our target.
For the BPO campaign, we spent $5 and received 851 views, at a cost of around $.0058 per view. Once again, we met our target.
Despite relying more on other methods for candidate sourcing, our strategic use of Facebook Ads proved to be a valuable asset in achieving our goals. This experience highlighted the effectiveness of targeted advertising in expanding our reach and attracting qualified candidates.
