As a credit controller, my role in bookkeeping is to ensure that customer payments are received in a timely manner and that customer accounts are accurately maintained.
This includes preparing invoices, reconciling accounts, liaising with customers regarding overdue payments, and monitoring customer credit limits.I am also responsible for ensuring that customer payments are allocated to the correct invoices, and that any disputes are resolved quickly.
Additionally, I need to ensure that customer accounts are kept up to date and accurate, and that customer statements are sent out as required.
In my GVA training , I was introduced to Quickbooks online and attended the In-depth training to be more familiarize of the system although it is similar to Oracle system that I ben using. I learned the basics of Quickbooks and how to use it for accounting and bookkeeping task.
I also learned how to create reports and analyze data, as well as setting up charts of accounts, entering invoices and payments and managing customer and vendor information. All in all, In-Depth Bookkeeping training gave me a good review of Quickbooks, and I am now confident in my ability to use the software for small business accounting
