"Hi there! I'm Cristel, but you can call me Tel. At 24 years old, I have a vibrant life with my loving partner and our adorable 4-year-old daughter.

In my previous role as a Call Center Agent in the medical field, particularly in health insurance, I honed my conversational skills, resolving members' concerns, and providing reassurance in challenging situations. However, my thirst for knowledge pushed me to seek growth opportunities. That's when I embarked on a journey of paid trainings, starting with VirtualPH and then PRO VA. These trainings have expanded my expertise, and I'm now ready to take on the role of a General Virtual Assistant, specializing in SMM, Medical Virtual Assistant and Executive Support.

In my previous job at an insurance company, my responsibilities encompassed the following:

-Handling phone calls from members regarding their payments, including assisting with new payments and addressing issues related to monthly billing, such as clarifying reasons for increased charges.

- Providing essential documents such as ID cards, Explanations of Benefits, Evidence of Coverage, and Tax

- Resolving concerns pertaining to claims, including investigating denials and ensuring accurate processing.

- Adhering to HIPAA guidelines to maintain confidentiality and protect member information.

- Verifying whether healthcare providers are in-network or out-of-network by cross-checking tax ID and NPI.

- Coordinating with the doctor's office when members have appointments, obtaining the CPT code, and verifying coverage, copay, deductible, coinsurance, and allowed amounts through our system.

- Explaining reasons for pre-authorization denials and confirming if a referral is required from the primary care physician.

- Checking eligibility status for

- Updating personal information and demographic details in our system.

- Facilitating conference calls between members and the doctor's office to schedule appointments.

- Additionally, as part of my responsibilities, I would send follow-up emails to members regarding their cases if they were not reachable through phone calls. In such instances, I would also securely email important documents and information using encryption to ensure data protection.

I handled these responsibilities diligently, ensuring effective communication, accurate information, and exceptional service to our members.

I used to have a business that involved selling household items such as soap, dishwashing products, fabric conditioners, baby powder, cologne, liquid soap, and more. Since it was during the pandemic and going out to deliver and sell was challenging, I decided to sell online. I created a Facebook page called "Personal Collections" and started posting my available items daily. I engaged in organic marketing by joining different Facebook groups with many members. I would share my posts in these groups, and in no time, my page gained over 1000 followers and 965 Likes.

Moreover, I took charge of interacting with customers, addressing their inquiries about product details, availability, price, and any concerns they had. When they wanted to make a purchase, I also handled the delivery process. Additionally, I recruited four people to join my business. Overall, the Facebook page was a success
