What is Give a Chance Foundation? 

Give a Chance (Gac) Foundation is a nonprofit organization in the Netherlands that aims to provide mental health programs such as trauma therapy sessions, mindfulness meditation, and yoga classes to Ukrainian child refugees. To make this possible, we’re raising money through our fundraising event, The 6 Million Minutes Challenge, and pre-selling our children’s book, The Magical Amber Seed, which is created by Ukrainian artists, Yulia and Zhenya. 

What is Give a Chance Foundation’s mission? 

To give Ukrainian refugee children a chance at a better life by providing them with the mental health support that they desperately need. We want them to smile again, regain hope, and feel safe in their current environment. 

What is Give a Chance Foundation’s vision? 

We share the vision of our founder, Wesley “Wes” Henderiks - give the less privileged a chance at a better life. 

What are the current projects or events of Give a Chance Foundation? 

Our current project is to provide Mental Health Programs for Ukrainian child refugees. You may click on the link above to know more about them.

How does Give a Chance Foundation raise funds? 

Our donations come from our fundraising campaigns, devoted volunteers who host fundraisers, a portion of our merch sales, and individual donations made directly to our foundation. 

Where does the money go? 

Funds raised from the 6 Million Minutes Challenge and The Magical Amber Seed children’s book will go towards our mental health programs for Ukrainian refugee kids.

At GaC, we’re always on the lookout for individuals who are willing to donate their time and use their skills to support our cause.

How much of the money raised goes to projects and events versus administrative/fundraising costs? 

A minimum of 85% of all funds raised will go directly to our beneficiary projects and events. Only a maximum of 15% will be used for administrative and fundraising costs that will include software, salaries for a few full-time staff members, and other miscellaneous event expenses. Our founder, Wesley, doesn’t receive any salary and pays for travel-related costs out of his own pocket.
