Title: "Escape the Debt Trap: Unleash Your Financial Freedom and Embrace Abundant Living"
Hey there, folks! Welcome back to our channel, where we dive deep into the world of personal finance and help you achieve financial freedom. Before we jump into today's topic, here's a fun fact to kick things off: Did you know that the average American carries a significant amount of debt? But don't worry, because in this video, I'm going to show you some incredible methods to pay off your debt and take control of your financial future!
So, whether you're dealing with credit card debt, student loans, or any other form of debt, there's hope for you. Today, we're going to explore two popular methods that can help you break free from the shackles of debt: the Snowball Method and the Avalanche Method. These methods have gained quite a reputation, and choosing the right one depends on your unique situation and personality. But don’t worry, my friends, because I'm going to walk you through both of these methods in detail, making it easier for you to decide which one suits you best.
Let's start with the Debt Snowball Method. This method, popularized by the legendary Dave Ramsey, is a highly effective approach to paying off debt. Here's how it works: instead of focusing on interest rates, you list your debts from the smallest to the largest. Yes, you heard that right. It's all about the smallest amount you have to pay back. So, let's say you have credit card debt, student loans, a mortgage, and a car loan. In this case, you'll prioritize paying off your student loans first, regardless of the interest rate.
Now, here's the fascinating part: the Debt Snowball Method capitalizes on the reward and gratification system ingrained in us as humans. We feel amazing when we accomplish a task, we set for ourselves. So, when you pay off that first debt quickly, you'll experience a surge of positivity and motivation to tackle the rest. This method is perfect if you struggle with staying motivated and crave that instant gratification. But wait, folks, I have a fantastic tip coming your way later in the video to help you stay motivated, so keep watching!
Now, let's move on to the Avalanche Method. Brace yourselves because this method is all about mathematically crushing your debt faster and more efficiently. With the Avalanche Method, you target the debt with the highest interest rate and tackle it head-on, then work your way down to the smallest. So, if you have credit card debt, student loans, a mortgage, and a car loan, your list will look something like credit card debt, car loan, student loans, and mortgage. Remember, these are just examples to guide you in organizing your own debts.
Here's the thing about the Avalanche Method: it requires discipline and resilience. You might not see immediate results, especially if your highest interest debt is a massive one, like a mortgage. But fear not, my friends, because the long-term benefits of this method are astounding. It's all about staying focused and committed, even when the going gets tough.
While we've covered the two most popular debt payoff methods, I must admit they won't magically make your debt disappear overnight. But they will ensure you're on the right track to paying it off. However, if you're eager to fast-track your journey to a debt-free life, stick around, because I have more incredible tips for you!
Number three is to make extra payments. We've all heard that paying only the minimum balance is a big no-no. But did you know that you can make extra payments on top of your regular ones? Picture this: you get paid bi-weekly, but you're only making monthly debt payments. Well, my friends, why not switch to bi-weekly payments? By doing so, you can increase the speed at which you pay off your debt, especially if you're a budgeting master. And speaking of budgeting, if you want to learn some effective budgeting techniques, check out our channel and hit that subscribe button if you find the content helpful!
Number four is to enter the stage, the balance transfer credit card! Now, this one's a game-changer, especially if you're already diligently paying off your debt. Banks often entice new clients with lower interest rates, and you can take advantage of that. How, you ask? By transferring your debt from a high-interest credit card to a lower-interest one. This move can significantly reduce the interest-related payments you're making. Just remember, it's essential to have a solid track record of consistent debt payments for at least three months before considering this option.
But wait, folks, we're not done yet! Here comes number five: the side hustle. Who says you can't bring in some extra dough to speed up your debt payoff? Embrace the power of a side hustle! Many people use side gigs to achieve specific financial goals, and you can do the same. Imagine working a part-time job on weekends and making an extra hundred dollars. Multiply that by four, and you've got an additional four hundred dollars each month to put towards your debt. Just think about how quickly that credit card balance of five thousand dollars could disappear. Pair that with your main income, and you'll be unstoppable!
Now, let's talk about number six: credit counseling. Sometimes, my friends, reaching out for help is the best thing you can do. It might feel uncomfortable or even scary, but credit counselors are there to guide you, not make matters worse. Don't be embarrassed about your situation. Seek professional assistance and gain peace of mind. Remember, everyone deserves a helping hand on their journey to financial well-being.
And last is number seven: celebrate milestones! Motivation can be a tricky beast, but fear not, my friends. We have a secret weapon for you: setting milestones. Instead of fixating on the long and daunting road to debt freedom, break it up into smaller, more manageable goals. Paying off two hundred thousand dollars on your mortgage may seem overwhelming, but how about aiming to pay an extra ten thousand dollars by the end of the year? When you reach that milestone, you'll feel an incredible boost of motivation and be ready to conquer the next goal. It's like the runners who conquer marathons by breaking them down into smaller milestones, kilometer by kilometer.
And there you have it, folks! We've covered some amazing methods and tips to help you pay off your debts and live a financially liberated life. If any of these tips resonated with you or helped you in any way, make sure to give this video a thumbs up to show your appreciation. Also, don't forget to comment below and share your thoughts on using milestones to pay off debts. We love hearing from you!

Title: From Chats to Cash: Unlocking the Path to Passive Income with ChatGPT Ai!
Are you looking for a fresh and effective method to create a passive income stream? Look no further! In this video, I will not only guide you through the process but also put this strategy to the test myself. I will document my entire journey in upcoming videos so that you can follow along and witness the results firsthand. But before we dive into the details, let's explore the business concept that we'll be covering. Our approach involves leveraging the power of Chat GPT to build and sell digital products on Etsy, generating passive income in the process. By the end of this video, you will gain valuable insights into finding winning products and utilizing Chat GPT to streamline the process. We will also delve into the creative side by demonstrating how to design professional-looking digital products using Canva. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to acquire my custom-built templates pack, which will help you stand out from your competitors.
I will guide you through the process of opening an Etsy shop and obtaining 40 free listings, allowing you to start your venture at zero cost. Lastly, I will provide a step-by-step tutorial on publishing your products on Etsy the right way. This video is packed with valuable information, so be sure not to skip any part of it. When it comes to selling digital products on Etsy, it is crucial to offer something that people genuinely want to buy. Moreover, creating unique products that stand out from the competition is vital. To achieve these goals, I will share my research techniques. While there are various ways and tools available to find products to sell, I have a simple yet effective method that is free to use. By utilizing the search bar on Etsy, you can conduct research and discover popular product ideas within your niche.
To start this process, you need to have a clear idea of what you want to create. In the video, I demonstrate how I asked the chatbot for suggestions, and I received some broad ideas to choose from. Based on my knowledge that digital planners are always in high demand, I decided to focus on printable planners. Next, I narrowed down my focus by exploring potential niches and target audiences using Chat GPT. As always, the chatbot didn't disappoint. I chose the self-improvement niche, which aligns with my favorite categories: health, wealth, and relationships.
Having established our goal, we aim to create a printable planner tailored for individuals seeking self-improvement. Now, it's time to conduct research on Etsy to validate our product idea and observe real examples of what is already successful. Using relevant keywords, such as "self-improvement planner," we can explore numerous listings on Etsy. By carefully examining different listings, we can identify compelling products that catch our attention.
Two essential factors should be considered during the analysis process. First, it is crucial to select a product with a sufficient number of reviews. Second, it is important to ensure that the product consistently receives new reviews, indicating ongoing sales success. As demonstrated in the video, products receiving a substantial number of recent reviews are strong indicators of high sales. By analyzing the products, their features, and the customer reviews, we gain valuable insights into what works and what doesn't. This information allows us to create unique, high-quality products that cater to customer preferences.
After conducting thorough analysis, I decided to create a one-page habit tracker, bundled with two additional pages. This bundle will be our end product. Now, it's time to design the product using Chat GPT and Canva. Although I usually create designs similar to those of my competitors, I decided to try something different this time. By engaging in conversations with Chat GPT and refining the generated layouts, I was able to create a detailed design that serves as a starting point for the actual design process. Once I had a clear idea of the desired design, I proceeded to Canva.com, where I found an array of ready-to-use templates suitable for Etsy sellers. After spending approximately an hour on Canva, I successfully created three templates: a habit tracking template, a daily planner, and a gratitude journal. To maintain consistency, I ensured that all three templates followed the same style, as a previous review from a competitor's product highlighted the importance of consistency. After completing the designs, I downloaded the templates as PDF files, ready for printing.
Next, I focused on creating appealing listing images using the templates I designed. These images serve as the visual representation of our product on Etsy. The main image showcases all three templates, while individual images highlight each template along with a short description generated using Chat GPT. To expedite this process, I utilized my pre-built templates pack, which contains over 20 templates that assist in presenting your product uniquely. By using drag-and-drop functionality, you can easily create high-quality product images that help you stand out from the crowd. As an added bonus, the first 50 people who purchase the templates pack will receive a list of winning digital products to sell on Etsy, saving you time and effort. With your product and listing images ready, you are now prepared to open your Etsy shop and list your first product. Opening an Etsy shop is free of charge, and if you use the link provided in the video description, you will receive 40 free listings to get you started. Once your shop is set up, you can customize your shop profile, add a photo and banner, and introduce yourself as the shop owner. Building trust is essential, so consider uploading a professional picture to your profile.
The next step involves adding a product listing. Upload the listing images you created on Canva and input the product title, which should include keywords to enhance discoverability. Closely examine your competitors for inspiration but avoid copying their titles word for word. Choose the appropriate product category, set the renewal option to automatic, and ensure that the product type is set to digital. Provide detailed information about your product, including its contents, features, benefits, and instructions for use. You can even utilize Chat GPT to help you craft a compelling product description. Adding relevant tags will further enhance discoverability for potential customers. Finally, set your price and quantity, starting with a lower price to attract initial sales. Once you have completed these steps, publish your listing, and congratulations! You have successfully listed your first product on Etsy.
Remember, it's essential to continue listing new products consistently. The beauty of selling on Etsy, particularly digital products, is that the platform handles the delivery process and payment collection for you. This makes it an ideal platform for building a sustainable passive income stream. Although the information in this video may seem overwhelming, I encourage you to rewatch it and follow each step carefully. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or if you'd like me to continue this series. Whether you're a digital guru or a complete newbie, get ready to embark on a thrilling journey towards financial freedom. Buckle up, because your ticket to a lucrative online career starts right here, right now!
To begin, visit fiverr.com and click on the "Join" button to register using your Facebook, Google, or email ID. Signing up on Fiverr is a simple process that I will skip explaining. Once you sign up, your Fiverr dashboard will display various services such as graphic design, digital marketing, video and animation, programming, and more. Before revealing the low-competition Fiverr gigs for making money online without skills or hard work, let's debunk the misconception that you need to rank on the first page to make money on Fiverr. If you search for "video editing" in the search box, Fiverr will show you over 40,000 gigs offering video editing services. Many gigs on the first page have received over 500 reviews and as we know not all people leave reviews after getting the service so for example this one gig here with over 800 reviews would, indicating they have likely generated over 2,000 sales and earned over $20,000. But now if you scroll down to the bottom of this page and select the page number 10 from there it will take you to this page and you will find that here also people are getting over 1 000 reviews over 500 reviews and they are also earning between fifteen thousand dollars to twenty thousand dollar. So it doesn't really matter if you are ranking on first page or not because the Fiverr gigs I am going to show you have very low competition and you will be able to make money on Fiverr very fast.
The best Fiverr gig for making money online is mock-ups. When you search for "mock-up" in Fiverr's search bar, you'll discover a staggering 9,500 gigs dedicated to this service. Surprisingly, this number is lower than the average in other categories, making it a golden opportunity. These mock-up services are offered at various price points, ranging from as low as five dollars to as high as 35 dollars per service. Take a closer look at one gig that has received over 1,000 reviews. Since not every buyer leaves feedback, we can estimate that this gig has likely received over 3,000 orders, resulting in a whopping $15,000 in earnings. Moreover, the gig offers three different plans with different pricing options. Considering an average sale price of $15, this single gig alone has raked in an impressive $45,000. The beauty of mock-up services lies in their simplicity. You'll be pasting captivating designs onto various products, such as trendy t-shirts. The best part? No editing, photography, or graphic design skills are required. You can effortlessly leverage free tools like Placeit to accomplish this task and propel your earnings to new heights. So, why wait? Dive into the realm of mock-ups and unleash your financial potential on Fiverr.
You can visit placeit.net and explore the wide range of examples and templates for mock-ups. With a simple click of a button, you can easily add your own logos and designs. For t-shirt mock-ups, hover your mouse over the mock-ups at the top. In the apparel section, you can select various options like hats, hoodies, sweatshirts, and t-shirts. Click on the t-shirts option, and it will direct you to a page with an extensive collection of t-shirt mock-ups. All you need to do is upload your logo or design onto the desired t-shirts. For instance, if you want to add your own design to a specific t-shirt, simply click on it and wait for it to load. On the left-hand side of the page, you can insert your image according to the specified size. Once you upload the design, you have the flexibility to make adjustments as per your preferences. The preview of the modified design is visible in the accompanying image. When you're satisfied with the result, simply click the download button located in the top right corner to save the design onto your computer.
The best part is that no designing skills are required. If you don't have access to free trial downloads on placeit.net, you can simply use a search engine like Google to find alternative websites offering free t-shirt mock-ups, such as freepik.com and others. Just upload your customer's design onto the chosen shirt or t-shirt, download the final mock-up image, and deliver it to your customer. With these simple steps, you can start making money with platforms like Fiverr. If you want me to create more videos on making money online, please like this video and comment below to let me know which methods you'd like me to discuss on this channel. Okay, let's move on to the second gig you can offer on Fiverr involves background removal. To find relevant services, search for "background removed" on Fiverr, and you'll discover several sellers providing this service for approximately $5. Many of these gigs have received thousands of reviews, indicating earnings surpassing $5,000, even if they only sold the basic package. The best part is that you don't need Photoshop or graphic design skills for this task. Websites like remove.bg offer a convenient solution, allowing you to remove backgrounds from images with just a single click. All you have to do is upload the customer's image, wait a few seconds for the background to be eliminated, and then download the edited image. If necessary, you can make additional adjustments or incorporate a different background. Once you are satisfied with the result, deliver the edited image to your Fiverr customer.
The last Fiverr gig on our list is website testing. Search for "website testing" on Fiverr, and you'll find less than 3,000 services, indicating low competition. Website testing requires no previous experience or skills, and you don't need access to the client's website. Website owners or developers seek honest reviews and feedback on their websites. They purchase website testing services on platforms like Fiverr, Upwork, or PeoplePerHour and all you got to do is open up their websites. You go through their website and you tell them your honest opinion about what you think about the colors, the design, the buttons, and if something doesn't work, if it works ,if you don't like it, if you like it Etc. You literally just have to go through the website and tell them exactly what you think about it you just have to be honest and that's what they're paying you and that's the only thing you need to do to earn around $30 to $100 per website tested. This process is also known as user testing. To enhance your earnings, provide the same service on other freelancing platforms like Upwork, Freelancer.com, and PeoplePerHour.
By following these steps, you can earn money on Fiverr quickly. The three recommended gigs with low competition are mock-ups, background removal, and website testing. Remember, you can offer these services on multiple freelancing platforms to increase your orders and earnings. Thank you for watching, and if you want to discover another method involving copying and pasting images to make more money, click on the video displayed on the screen now.

COVID-19 PANDEMIC: FACTORS CONTRIBUTING TO THE MOTIVATION OF STUDENTS TAKING BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING
Aquino, Diana Rose A.
School of Natural Science
ABSTRACT
Nursing is one of the most in demand job in the world specially during the insurgence of SARS-CoV2, also known as the Corona Virus or the Covid-19. The nursing profession is the backbone of the healthcare system. This motivated the researchers to do the study. This study aims to identify the motivation of the nursing students towards their program amidst Covid-19 by the 5 factors: Job opportunities, Income, Social influence, Personal interest, and Work environment. A qualitative cross-sectional study was conducted among the nursing students at the University of Baguio. A google form survey was shared to the students with a four-point scoring Likert scale for the data collection. The tools used are the weighted mean to determine the extent of the factors to the motivation of the respondents and t-test was also administered to compare the motivation of the respondents before and after the pandemic. The data were analyzed using SPSS. The result reveals that the respondents are highly motivated with the factors Job Opportunities, Personal Interest, and the Work Environment. The data shows that there are no significant differences on the motivation of the respondents to continue the nursing program. As a result, we conclude that, despite the pandemic, students are still motivated to pursue their chosen program. In addition, the respondents expect adequate career possibilities, a positive work atmosphere and to satisfy their personal interest in nursing. The researchers pointed out that even after the pandemic, respondents are still encouraged to keep going. Respondents also state that they choose nursing because of the job opportunities it provides, particularly the ability to work abroad. Overall, nursing students are driven by the prospect of working in a field that allows for growth and diversity, as well as their desire to make a difference in people's lives, have a satisfying career, and work that needs a high level of hands-on experience.

INTRODUCTION
The medical community, especially nurses, has been at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic response. All countries have been in dire need of nurses due to a shortage of force in battling the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this study was to learn more about their motivation to keep their program going even after the insurgence of the pandemic. Since medical practitioners are battling and helping patients afflicted with such diseases, the medical profession is profoundly affected by the rise or spread of the disease.
In view of a COVID-19 pandemic, anxiety and stress on academic demands, pressures for success and post-graduate plans (Beiter et al., 2015) the students' emotional responses are crucial if they are to carry out their program more than ever. The pandemic affected the views in nursing students of their selected programs. This made them rethink their choice of profession. Medical practitioners are in close contact with such a high infection risk.
Students have experienced many issues that have had an effect on their aspirations and the desire for higher grades or a pandemic program. The internet access to students in provincial and rural areas are some of the issues. The pace and cost of the internet prevent students and lecturers from delivering study material correctly. The time to finish the on-line examinations is short, which causes fear. Students have not used the experience they have acquired from books in the clinical setting. This might motivate them to change their pace.
Stress and anxiety due to workloads, tasks and preparation are common for nursing students. However, it was much more difficult to deal with the transfer of the learning system from face to face to e-learning. Few students have the ability to deal with the pandemic, but others are also having difficulties. This motivated the researchers to do a study regarding to the motivation of students taking up Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Baguio.
Literature Review
This chapter presents the reviews on literature and studies which are significant to the present study.
Pandemic symptoms have been recorded and written about all over the world throughout history. Furthermore, it may cause economic harm through a variety of channels, including increased political stress and conflict between the state and people, as well as social and economic disruption from preventive measures that could lead to individual behavioral changes, such as fear-induced aversion to workplaces and other public gathering places, which are a primary cause of adverse economic shocks during pandemics. Furthermore, it has the potential to cause major, widespread rises in morbidity and mortality, with low- and middle-income countries bearing a disproportionately higher mortality burden (Madhav et al., 2017). Pandemics are large-scale infectious disease outbreaks that spread from one geographical region to another. It is characterized as an outbreak that occurs globally or over a large region, crosses international borders, and typically affects a large number of people (Kelly, 2011). The world is constantly fighting new diseases that might result in another pandemic. Evidence indicates that pandemics have become more likely in the last century as a result of increased global travel and integration, urbanization, land use changes, and increased exploitation of the natural environment (Jones, 2008). As a result, there has been a lot of policy focus on the need to increase and maintain investment in preparedness and health capability (Smolinsky et al., 2003).
In late December 2019, a previously unknown coronavirus, dubbed the 2019 novel coronavirus, emerged in Wuhan, China, and caused a massive outbreak across China, as well as Thailand, the Republic of Korea, Japan, the United States, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Coronavirus Disease-2019 is the official name for the outbreak, which has been declared a pandemic (World Health Organization, 2020). The majority of people infected with the COVID-19 virus developed a mild to moderate respiratory illness and recovered without needing any special care. Serious illness is more likely to strike the elderly and those with basic restorative problems such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer.
The coronavirus is mostly spread from one person to the next. It may occur between people who are in close proximity to each other. Droplets are produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes, and they may land in the mouths or noses of others nearby, or they may be inhaled into their lungs. Even if there are no signs, a person infected with coronavirus would produce aerosols when they speak or breathe. Aerosols are viral particles that can float or migrate in the air for up to three hours. Through inhaling these aerosols, another individual may become infected with the coronavirus. This is why it is recommended that everybody wears a mask while going out in public (Harvard Health Publishing, 2020).
The COVID-19 pandemic has claimed the lives of many people all over the world. It poses a significant threat to public health, food systems, and the labor market. To slow the spread of the virus, governments around the world have imposed lockdowns or curfews. These policies have a detrimental impact on industry, education, health, and tourism around the world. The pandemic of COVID-19 has had an effect on education at all stages. Worldwide (in 192 countries), educational institutions have either temporarily closed or imposed regional closures affecting 1.7 billion students. Several universities around the world have postponed or cancelled all field events in order to avoid crowding and virus transmission. These steps, on the other hand, have greater economic, medical, and social consequences for each undergraduate and postgraduate community (Mahdy, 2020).
As a result of the suspension of classroom teaching in many faculties and universities, undergraduate and graduate students must now rely on online instruction. Another way to reduce interaction between students or between scholars and lecturers is to use this learning form. However, due to the economic and digital divide, many students are unable to access online education due to a lack of resources or instruments. According to Lederman (2020), due to the COVID-19 crisis, both teachers and students have felt compelled to accept the digital academic experience as the summum bonum of the online teaching-learning process. Teachers should cater to children's digital skills, which are on the verge of cyber danger, into educational opportunities to succeed in future projects, particularly in this pandemic where children are completely reliant on online learning (DQ Institute, 2019). The coronavirus is upsetting life (EdSource, 2020), posing a long-term threat to our educational institutions, from kindergarten to tertiary level, and exacerbating teaching-learning on a daily basis.
According to Thapa (2021), when all educational facilities were closed due to the pandemic, the advent of the current COVID-19 situation surely gave a solution to most of our educational needs. The purpose of this study is to determine nursing students' attitudes on the use of e-learning in the context of COVID-19. Despite the fact that e-learning was used as a stand-in during the epidemic, nearly half of nursing students were favorable about it. The bulk of the pupils reported difficulty with the internet and technology. If e-learning can be made more user-friendly by removing technological barriers and supplementing it with programs that improve practical learning abilities, it has the potential to become a critical alternative teaching and learning technique in the nursing industry. From the results of Oducado and Estoque (2021) revealed that undergraduate nursing students found online learning unpleasant (44.4 percent) and very stressful during the COVID-19 outbreak (47.2 percent ). Furthermore, during the COVID-19 outbreak, undergraduate nursing students reported low satisfaction (37%) and moderate satisfaction (46.3%) with online learning. The COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on undergraduate nursing students' academic performance, resulting in poor (37%) to fair (50%) academic performance, with the pandemic having a significant (43.6%) and significant (30.6%) impact. There was a substantial and inverse relationship between online learning stress (p=.000) and academic performance (p=.012).
According to Ferel and Ryan (2020), in the aftermath of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, it is abundantly clear to all that studying the virus's pathology and widespread health implications is important. The effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on medical education, on the other hand, is much less evident. Faculty and medical students wrestle with the changes and try to integrate them into their long-term career plans. Changes that might seem trivial in contrast to the global pandemic can be crucial career moments for many. Since very little is understood regarding COVID-19's long-term impact on medical education, it's important to record and study the full scope of the changes. Given that many medical students will now miss out on important opportunities such as presentations, clinical rotations, and collaborative experiences - all of which helped previous generations become potential doctors - the question of how students will develop and integrate into the medical community arises (Ferrel, 2020). Students can gain teamwork skills and enhance adaptability by incorporating technology into medical education in a unique way. Navigating the difficulties of remote collaboration with colleagues creates a fascinating parallel and practice for what interprofessional collaboration and telemedicine could look like in our future careers. Students who respond best to the unique circumstances of COVID-19's pandemic will show their ability to think beyond the box and question preconceived notions about how medicine should be practiced. As a consequence, a student's versatility and imagination are reflected. Students must come up with new ways to show off their talents, work ethic, teamwork, and dedication to their studies. Persistence and adaptability could be more readily viewed in the face of these new obstacles and innovative ways of solving these problems. The COVID-19 pandemic has begun to affect other aspects of students' lives and professions. The planet is in a panic, and many people are unsure how to react to the COVID-19 pandemic's aftermath. Medical students wonder what steps they can take to help their communities and reduce the overall risk of damage. The guidelines made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and our legislative bodies could be reinforced by medical students.
According to a new report by Mahdy (2020), the COVID-19 pandemic has a major effect on medical students, dental students, and radiology trainees. Based on a large survey of around 2,000 responses, the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) recently concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative effect on veterinary practices. According to the data gathered, 96.7 percent of participants (n = 1,346) claimed that COVID-19 pandemic lockdown had any effect on their academic results. During the pandemic, students faced a variety of issues that affected their desire to achieve higher grades or complete their curriculum. One issue that has arisen is the lack of internet access for students who live in regional and rural areas. The pace and cost of the internet make it difficult for students and lecturers to deliver study materials properly. Learning devices such as computers, tablets, and smartphones that can access the internet and view online materials are readily available. The inability to complete the online exams due to a lack of time, which causes anxiety. In the clinical setting, the expertise we learned from books was not put to use. On some subjects, such as veterinary anatomy, there is a scarcity of online material. It is difficult for professors to teach clinical subjects' practical lessons online. Students lose interest in engaging in online learning after a long period of time. People are also tired as a result of sleep deprivation. Some lectures are given in PowerPoint or pdf format, with lecturers simply reading from PowerPoint slides. It is less interactive and quickly loses attention since there is no contact between students, teachers, or animals. There is a lack of effective communication, and some students feel lonely. The study found that using an online education system made it more difficult for students to cope with their studies and also challenged their veterinary competencies.
Anxiety is another effect of the Covid-19 pandemic among students. Students, particularly those participating in health allied courses, are concerned about how they can excel in their programs as a result of the pandemic. College students suffer from a lot of anxiety. Academic success, pressure to excel, and post-graduation plans are the top three concerns among students (Beiter et al., 2015). Nursing school has a long history of being linked to student anxiety. Heavy course loads, rigorous examinations, continued pressure to achieve a high grade point average (Chernomas and Shapiro, 2013), complex interpersonal relationships, challenges of the clinical environment (Chen et al., 2015), and caring for chronic and terminally ill patients (Sancar et al., 2018) result in more significant anxiety among nursing students than among students from any other healthy discipline. Furthermore, clinical preparation during nursing school has been discovered to be more stressful than the theoretical component (Labrague, 2013; John and Al-Sawad, 2015). Anxiety has a negative impact on students' lives, jobs, and clinical practice (Sanad, 2019), and it could lead to nursing program dropout (Rafati et al., 2017). Nursing students are subject to additional stressful factors during an illness or pandemic, such as the fear of being contaminated and the fear of not understanding how to apply the different theories and concepts learned in books and other learning materials during online classes in the realistic environment.
The impact of anxiety and stress on one's health necessitates effective anxiety and stress management. Nurses used problem-focused coping mechanisms more than nursing college students who used immature or detrimental coping strategies during the covid-19 pandemic in China, according to new research (Huang et al., 2020). Meanwhile, students employed in healthcare facilities for pay (outside of the curriculum framework) continued to operate in the current reality of uncertain circumstances and conflicting knowledge about the latest virus, as well as a lack of adequate personal protective equipment (PPE). Due to labor shortages in hospitals and the community, the Ministry of Health's Office of the Director of Nursing requested that all nursing students volunteer their time to work in hospitals and community settings. As a result, over 1600 nursing students (100 from Ashkelon Academic College's nursing department [41 percent]) responded to the call. The Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-Item Scale, with a cut-off point of 10 for moderate anxiety and 15 for severe anxiety, was used to assess the anxiety levels of nursing students. Factor analysis was used to identify coping elements. Anxiety was found to be present in 42.8 percent of the population and 13.1 percent of the population, respectively. Increased anxiety was related to gender, a lack of personal protective equipment, and a fear of infection. As a result, nursing students who volunteered during the pandemic worry about their safety and second-guess their career choice because, during disease outbreaks or pandemics, their lives are put in dangerous situation due to direct contact with diseased patients.
An inquiry into college students' mental health during the Covid-19 pandemic was undertaken in other parts of the world. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Wang et al. (2020) conducted a cross-sectional survey to assess the mental health status and prevalence of depression and anxiety among college students in a large university system in the United States. Of the 2031 participants, 48.14 percent (n=960) had mild to serious depression, 38.48 percent (n=775) had moderate to severe anxiety, and 18.04 percent (n=366) had suicidal thoughts. The majority of participants (n=1443, or 71.26 percent) said their stress/anxiety levels had increased during the pandemic. According to the researchers, the percentage of people who have depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts is troubling. Respondents expressed fears about the pandemic's effect on their academics, health, and lifestyle. Given the outbreak's unforeseen duration and magnitude, these questions must be explored further and resolved. The rise in mental health problems among students has become a burden on the educational system. There was a large rise in dropout rates, and it became more difficult to create relationships between students and professors.
Mental illness is on the rise in every household worldwide during the pandemic, particularly among students who are terrified of the disease's risk. COVID-19 is a virus that infects people. Nursing students experience stress and anxiety as a result of their workloads, tasks, and preparation. The transition from face-to-face to e-learning, on the other hand, made it more difficult to keep up. Some students are able to deal with the effects of the pandemic, but the rest are still suffering. Furthermore, nursing students are concerned about not being able to apply what they have learned from books and online resources. Apart from mental illness, student nurses are often concerned with the scrutiny of their personal protective equipment in order to avoid contracting the disease.
Nurses are the front-line workers of most health-care organizations, and their contributions are regarded as critical to achieving growth goals and providing secure and efficient care (ICN, 2007). Nurses are responsible for not only assisting in the restoration of health and alleviation of pain for patients, but also for promoting health and preventing disease in the general public. Nursing is commonly regarded as a desirable profession because it provides job stability, autonomy, and advancement opportunities (Mooney, Glacken, & O'Brien, 2008). However, the global shortage of nurses (WHO, 2006) is causing a crisis in health care, and several reports have previously indicated various causes for this shortage, including nurses' aging profile (Roberts & Ward-Smith 2010), a decline in recruitment of young people into the nursing profession (Borkowski et al 2007), and significant turnover (Hayes et al 2006). Nursing recruitment and retention is still a hot subject, which has sparked a renewed interest in the reasons for joining and leaving the profession (Jirwe& Rudman, 2012).
As a result, in order to attract more nursing applicants, especially those who are genuinely interested, it is necessary to recognize the factors that influence their decision. As a result, the aim of this research is to determine the major factors that affect nursing students' decision to pursue nursing as a profession.
While nursing is one of the most common university majors among both traditional-age and returning students, many students may find that nursing training and education programs do not meet their personal goals and aspirations for a variety of reasons (e.g., environmental factors, social influences). According to a previous report, nursing students typically choose their major based on social and cultural perceptions. Unlike in Westernized societies, university major selection and even career path are the product of parental recommendations and social norms in East Asia. According to the findings of this report, 48 nursing students were forced to pursue a nursing degree as a result of their parents' and school counselors' standards. All of these nursing students claimed that they would not be joining the medical or nursing profession after graduation due to a disparity between their university major and their personal goals and aspirations. Since both students and government agencies invest money in preparation, such misalignment of human resources often has negative consequences.
Conceptual Framework
The conceptual structure associated with the Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT) developed by Lent, R., Brown, S., and Hackett, G. (1994) and used in Dos Santos, L. M.’s thesis “How Does COVID-19 Pandemic Influence the Sense of Belonging and Decision-Making Process of Nursing Students: The Study of Nursing Students’ Experience” was adopted (2020). The SCCT is based on Albert Bandura’s general social cognitive theory, which is a popular model of cognitive and motivational processes that has been used to study a variety of aspects of psychosocial functioning, such as academic success, health behavior, and organizational growth (Santos, 2020).
The study focuses on the factors that motivated the students in pursuing Bachelor of Nursing before and after the pandemic. There are five factors that could influence the motivation of the students in pursuing their program namely; job opportunities, income, social influence, personal interest, and lastly work environment. These given factors are the input of the study to determine the extent or gravity of influence each factor made to affect the motivation of the students in pursuing their program before and after the pandemic. Comparison of the influence of these factors has been made to identify the factor that highly affected the motivation of the students. In order to obtain the desired output, the researchers utilized a 4-point likert scale survey and analyzed the data using statistical tools. The likert scale mean range of Valdez, G., et al (2020) is used to interpret the mean of the results gathered and identify whether these factors highly, moderately, slightly or did not motivate the students.
Figure 1. The Paradigm of the Study
Significance of the Study
This study would be beneficial to the following:
Student. This research would look at the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on nursing students currently enrolled in their programs. Nursing students would be able to recognize the influences on their decisions.
Universities. This research would help universities truly understand student behaviors during online learning and in the aftermath of pandemics like the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as how to inspire students during pandemics.
Future Researchers. This study would provide background information about the factors contributing to the motivation of the nursing students brought by the pandemic. Hence, this may serve as a reference and guidelines to future researchers who would be conducting similar studies.
Objectives of the Study
The main goal of the study was to determine the factors that motivated the students to continue taking Bachelor of Nursing in the University of Baguio as a result of the pandemic.
To determine the extent of the factors that motivated the students to enroll in nursing
To compare the factors that motivated students before and after the pandemic
METHODOLOGY
This chapter talks about research design, locale, population instrument, data gathering procedure and treatment of data used. A qualitative approach was used in this study, it aims to gather and document reviews, experiences, and likely stories from University of Baguio nursing students.
The results and exposures of the research participants are both measured at the same time. The aim of the study was to learn about the motivation nursing students at the University of Baguio from various year levels.
This method of research could be used to determine the characteristics of the group. This would, however, be used to establish cause-and-effect relationships among variables. This method is often used to infer possible relationships or gather preliminary data for further research and experimentation. With no manipulation from the participant's point of view, the present study focuses solely on assessing the possible relationship between nursing students motivation to engage in the program
Study Design
The analysis, which is under qualitative research, the researchers used a descriptive cross-sectional study design. The objective of a qualitative research design was to figure out why and how the phenomenon in question occurs. The cross-sectional study design focuses on population, which establishes a relationship or correlation between the variables in the system that helped researchers in conducting a target population survey that assesses the prevalence of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on students' perspective relationship between COVID-19 pandemic and students' perspective. The cross-sectional analysis aiding the researchers in gathering data from the target populations by analyzing their perspectives on job opportunities, income, social influence, personal interest, and work environment while pursuing a medical degree, such as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Population of the Study
The students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the University of Baguio are the target sample for the study. Students in the nursing program are in their first or fourth year of study. The researchers have obtained the desired target sample by using a stratified random sampling technique. The researchers divided the students in the University of Baguio’s nursing program into groups based on their year level, with 10% of the total number of students per year level.
The number of students enrolled in the nursing program at the University of Baguio is as follows; 2020 - 2021, level I- 394; level II-199; level III-102; level IV- 41 Total= 736 (Nursing UB). The researchers' 10 percent of the total number of students per year for the study sample was based on the number of students per year as of 2020-2021. Thirty-four (34) first-year students, twenty (20) second-year students, ten (10) third-year students, and four (4) fourth-year students make up the sample of this report, for a total of 68 students as the sample size. After the researchers divided the population by year level, random selection was used to select a representative sample of the population from each level or strata. With that, it allowed the researchers to obtain less skewed study results and better representation of each stratum sample. A good overall sample size, according to Bullen (n.d.), was about 10% of the population, as long as it does not exceed 1000 people. The researchers were able to obtain crucial information from the number of samples in order to analyze if the Covid-19 pandemic influenced nursing students' decision to follow their program.
The google form was shared to the students through the help of the students assigned by the RDC. Despite several follow-ups through the assigned students, only 28 students accomplished the Google form. The number of respondents per Year level are summarized in Table 1.
Table 1
Distribution of the Respondents per Year level
Year Level | Frequency | Percentage |
1stYear | 8 | 28.6 |
2ndYear | 3 | 10.7 |
3rdYear | 6 | 21.4 |
4thYear | 11 | 39.3 |
Total | 28 | 100 |
Research Instrument
The researchers have conducted a survey needed for the study. The researchers utilized a questionnaire. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on nursing students' motivation to complete their program was assessed in a questionnaire that contains the different factors that contribute to the motivation of students taking up Bachelor of Science in nursing to be answered with not motivated, slightly motivated, moderately motivated, and highly motivated. The tool validation, which has been submitted to the validators, have processed the questionnaires' validity and reliability. Validity and Reliability was done under the School of Natural Science BSMLS program. The Cronbach Alphas Value for large population ( =385) was used to have the new adjusted sample size (n=253). Since the CoVid-19 pandemic has yet to be contained, the data will be collected using Google Docs.
With a four-point rating system, the questionnaires are in Likert scale format. After that, the questions are divided into five identified factors: job opportunities, income, social influence, personal interest, and work environment. The researchers formulated seven (7) questions from each factor and were randomized to prevent the respondents in manipulating their answers and obtain the truth. The descriptive status was used to summarize the samples and observations, as well as the frequencies.
Data Gathering procedure
The researchers used a survey that is on a scale that rates the variables to determine the prevalence ratio of the sample. The survey focuses on the following variables: Factors that motivated students to take up nursing program before and after the pandemic, and the least and most common factors that made students decide to take up nursing program. As a result, in order for the researchers to collect data, the researchers practiced social distancing based on national government guidelines, and data was gathered using a google form with a consent form. Due to conducting online surveys, there was a limitation in attracting respondents to answer the survey.
The researchers procured a referral letter from the RDC for permission to perform a study among nursing students under the Nursing department at the University of Baguio After acquiring the approval for the questionnaires, the researchers sent the questionnaires via email and personal messages. The survey implementation took 3 weeks.
Respondents have been given enough opportunity to determine whether or not they want to engage in the data collection. The participants have been given adequate details about the research and why they were selected to participate during that period. Respondents were given two sets of questions; one was about the factors that motivated them in pursuing their program before the pandemic and the other one was about the factors that motivated them to pursue their program after the pandemic.
Following the data collection, the researchers have compiled all of the information needed for scoring, interpretation, and analysis of the findings that have been used in the report. The researchers have compiled the information collected while maintaining the anonymity of the respondents.
Treatment of Data
The researchers used the weighted mean to compute the data and determine the variables that have a significant impact on nursing students' decisions to pursue their program.
The weighted mean of the gathered data from the Likert scale were computed by the researchers. The researchers also used independent t-test to determine if there is a significant difference between the means of the motivation of the respondents before and after the pandemic
The researchers avoid bias scoring and inaccurate computations by assigning three of the researchers in the computation to pull out the errors and tallying in the calculated scores in each researcher. The researchers have avoided miscalculations and misinterpretations by categorizing each variable. These statistical methods allowed the researchers to look at the statistical relationships between the data and spot any potential study flaws.
The mean range for the Likert scale is taken from Valdez, G., et al.'s report, “The use of social networking sites, their perceived advantages, and their potential for improving the study habits of nursing students in five countries”.
Table 2 Using a four-point Likert scale
Weight | Mean Range | Adjectival Rating | Interpretation |
4 | 3.51-4.50 | Always | Highly motivated |
3 | 2.51-3.50 | Often | Moderately motivated |
2 | 1.51-2.50 | Sometimes | Slightly motivated |
1 | 1.0-1.50 | Never | Not motivated |
Following the computation of the results, the researchers have attempted to determine the relationship between the variables. The researcher was able to see how the data spreads and how the CoVid-19 pandemic affects nursing students using computed weighted mean. This also displays the data's trendline.
The researchers consulted a statistician in order to obtain more accurate and reliable computations. In the discussion, there is data transparency displayed between the relationship of each variable.
Ethical Consideration
Throughout the report, participants' safety was ensured through the implementation of applicable ethical standards. All signed, unsigned consent documents, personal contacts, and related articles were destroyed after the analysis which was in accordance with personal privacy concerns.
The researchers procured an informed consent form for the voluntary participation of University of Baguio nursing students and sufficiently informed the participants about the research study. The participants were given the power of choice to determine whether or not to participate during the survey
The participants were given a consent form by the researchers. The consent form and questionnaires were sent by email and personal message because of the current pandemic. Before the questionnaires were given, the participants signed the informed consent form which indicated their agreement to participate in the study. The researchers also sent the respondents a summary of the study that helped them understand why they were selected to participate.
In the data collection, interpretation, and reporting of the study results, the participants' privacy and confidentiality were maintained by not revealing their personal details. During the survey, sufficient privacy and confidentiality was observed. The balance between the potential danger of research and the potential benefits of the research, ethical considerations were considered throughout the review.
The results of the study were discussed in a descriptive manner and corroboration was done to support the results. The summary of the results will be emailed to the respondents once approved. Participating in research colloquium would also help the researchers to present and discuss the finding of the study to their fellow students, faculty, administrator and personnel under the university. Soft copy and hard copy will be given to the universities for future purposes.
Results and Discussions
With the data collected from the survey, Under Job Opportunities in table 3 shows that the respondents are highly motivated with the notion that nursing provides a variety of healthcare settings (M=3.89, SD=0.416) even after the pandemic (M=3.60, SD=0.567). It is indeed that Nursing provides a variety of healthcare settings such as primary care, secondary care, and tertiary care. Each of these levels focuses on different aspects of healthcare and is typically provided in different settings (Wisconsin Technical College, n.d). A registered nurse with a specialty can work in a certain sector. Addiction, cardiovascular, mental health, and oncology nursing are just a few of the specializations available. Additional study and a certification exam are usually required to become a specialist in a particular profession (Smith, 2019).
The values in Table 3 reveals the motivation of the respondents under Factor II Income shows that the respondents are slightly motivated to the governments promising wages (M=2.10, SD=0.916) even after the pandemic (M=2.21, SD=0.994). In a statement from CNN (2019), the high court said nurses working for public hospitals and health offices must be paid with the monthly rate for Salary Grade (SG) 15, four ranks higher than their current SG 11 category. However, under section 32 of Republic Act 9173 or the Nursing Act tells a which was signed into law by Arroyo tells a different story. The minimum basic pay of state-employed nurses "shall not be lower than salary grade 15." The President's EO issued seven years later pegged the basic pay of a Nurse I to SG 11. The case went through oral arguments in February. To compare with the statement of CNN (2019) the respondents knew that the government gives lesser wages. Duque stated in quotation, “That is now the DBM's call because it is easy to say: yes, we will give you higher salary, we will give you more money... At the end of the day, meron bang pondo [do we have funding]?” (CNN, 2019). A satisfactory wage is a significant factor in job-seeking behavior and is especially important in keeping workers in their current positions. Increasing wage to solve institutional workforce recruitment and retention problems is an easy-to-implement intervention in the short run. (May JH, Bazzoli GJ, Gerland AM., 2006).
From the values in Table 3 under Factor III Social Influence, the factor that highly motivates the respondents is by observing a healthcare professional (M=3.57, SD=0.573). The values demonstrate that the respondents are motivated to follow the same course as those they observe at work. Observing a good healthcare setting can be a motivation path to many students for their future jobs. Having an inspiration to a health care professional can be a guide to be a future healthcare worker also. This result confirms with the statement from Burke (2017). According to Burke, Anderson shared a statement quoted, “It evoked something in me. It changed my path. I felt a natural passion for working in social care. My experience of social work [when she was young] wasn't that great. But the team that I worked with were really good at what they did. They made me feel positive about it.”
According to the values in Table 3, the factor that highly motivates the respondents from Factor IV is the idea that nursing will assist the respondents to have a meaningful purpose (M=3.64, SD=0.559) even after the pandemic (M=3.54, SD=0.576). It is a fact that to fulfil our interest is to pursue our interest. Malloy et al (2015) backs the result of the study stating, since the Socratic era, and more recently in existentialism, finding meaning as a life's endeavor has been a major component of philosophy. In addition, Malloy et al (2015) stated that nurses' discussions show that in a career with such high expectations in terms of extended care and interpersonal contact with vulnerable patients, a workplace that supports personal growth via meaning and mentorship is critical. It is critical for nurses to find meaning in their profession so that they can persevere even in the face of extreme challenges.
The values shown in table 3 under Factor V: Work environment shows the factor which highly motivates the respondents that nursing positively impacts people’s lives (M=3.64, SD=0.488) even after the pandemic (M=3.71, SD=0.460). Nursing as an occupation is selfless where they sacrifice their health to provide care, however, providing care to the patients gives impact to not only the patient’s life but also to the nurse. The result confirms with the statement of Western Governors University (2019), where one of the most compelling reasons for people to pursue a career in nursing is the desire to make a difference in people's lives. Anyone who has visited a hospital knows how crucial nurses are in making patients feel at ease and secure. Nurses assist individuals in a variety of ways. They give the correct medication. They provide comfort by providing warm blankets and favorite delicacies. Nurses' days are jam-packed with opportunities to make a difference in the lives of those they serve and to make each patient feel valued.

A independent sample t-test was conducted to compare the motivation of the respondents before and after the pandemic. To test the motivation of the respondents before and after the pandemic, a paired sample t-test was conducted to each factors. As seen in the table 4, there was no significant difference for the Factor Job Opportunities (M=3.57, SD=0.3.87) and after the pandemic (M=3.54, SD=0.48.2), conditions; t(54)=0.259, p=0.797 The result suggests that the respondents are still motivated to the Job Opportunities of being a nurse. The results correspond with the study of Swift (2020), and Morcillo (2020) that their results support two ideas in two ways: (1) They demonstrate that this approach toward their work lives is still prevalent in younger generations, with the astonishing fact that all participants are so dedicated and eager to assist. (2) The pandemic has reinforced their desire to become nurses. Nurses typically enter the profession because they want to assist others recover and preserve their health, and we now find ourselves in a scenario where there are few options for those who are extremely ill as a result of COVID-19 (Jackson et al, 2020).
As for the factor Income, there were no significant difference between the before (M=2.89, SD=0.619) and after the pandemic (M=2.80, SD=0.806), conditions; t(54)=0.478, p=0.634. According to Republic Act No. 9173, also known as “Philippine Nursing Act of 2002.” Under Article 7, Section 32 stated that in order to enhance the general welfare, commitment to service and professionalism of nurses, the minimum base pay of nurses working in the public health institutions shall not be lower than salary grade 15 prescribed under Republic Act No. 6758, otherwise known as the “Compensation and Classification Act of 1989”: Provided, That for nurses working in local government units, adjustments to their salaries shall be in accordance with Section 10 of the said law (Official Gazette).
Table 4 further shows that the motivation of the respondents towards the factor Social influence have no significant difference between before the pandemic (M=2.83, SD= 0.545) and after the pandemic (M=2.91, SD=0.611), conditions; t(54)=0.462, p=0.646). According to Western Governors University (2019), where one of the most compelling reasons for people to pursue a career in nursing is the desire to make a difference in people's lives. Anyone who has visited a hospital knows how crucial nurses are in making patients feel at ease and secure. Nurses assist individuals in a variety of ways. They give the correct medication. They provide comfort by providing warm blankets and favorite delicacies.
Table 4 show the motivation of the respondents toward the factor Personal Interest that there is no significant difference between after the pandemic (M=3.39, SD= 0.494) and after the pandemic (M=3.44, SD=0.522), conditions; t(54)=0.338, p=0.737). The results suggest that the respondents are still motivated to their personal interest even after the insurgence of the pandemic. Nurses typically enter the profession because they want to assist others recover and preserve their health, and we now find ourselves in a scenario where there are few options for those who are extremely ill as a result of COVID-19 (Jackson et al, 2020).
Lastly, table 4 show the motivation of the respondents toward the factor Work Environment that there is no significant difference between after the pandemic (M=3.30, SD= 0.434) and after the pandemic (M=3.31, SD=0.491), conditions; t(54)=0.041, p=0.967). Nurses' days are jam-packed with opportunities to make a difference in the lives of those they serve and to make each patient feel valued. It is as if the 2 years of pandemic became normal to students, however the participants from Ramos et al (2020) study report that this scenario has an impact on their future intentions and expectations for acquiring a degree and finding a job. They believe they will be singled out for a promotion due to a lack of knowledge, that their overseas training will be halted, and that they will be fired. Their professional goals are also influenced.

Conclusion
The Covid-19 pandemic has affected many countries especially medical courses, Nursing particularly. However, Nursing students from the University of Baguio are still motivated to continue their chosen track. The researcher concludes that there are five factors that could affect the motivation of the students in pursuing Nursing programs before and after the pandemic. The researchers rank these factors based on their gravity of influence on the motivation of the students. The study revealed that job opportunity is the factor that most affected the motivation of the students in pursuing Nursing programs before and after the pandemic. Personal interest is the second factor that influenced the motivation of the students before the pandemic followed by work environment, income, and social influence. The motivation of the students in pursuing their program after the pandemic is also influenced by these factors but in different rankings. Personal interest is still the second factor that affects their motivation followed by work environment, social influence, and lastly, income. The researchers conclude that the students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree are not solely motivated by the high remuneration or promising income offered in this field. Parents' expectations and the social prestige associated with this career were not key factors in their decision to pursue the program. The students are willing to put their health at risk in order to make a difference in the lives of their patients, especially in the case of covid patients, where family members are not permitted to visit and only the attending nurses are permitted to accompany them. During the Covid-19, they also had no effect on their motivation to change careers. The concept of working in a field that allows for growth and diversity, as well as the desire to make a difference in someone's life, have a satisfying career, and work that needs high hands-on abilities, motivates the respondents. The respondents are also motivated to the opportunities of being a nurse that eventually fulfils their personal interests. However, due to the limited number of respondents, the result cannot be generalized to the whole nursing population.
While a limitation of the study is its small sample size, and thus reduced statistical power, the results provide insight into the predominant factors influencing BSN as a career choice, as well as the impact COVID-19 has had on these factors
Recommendation
The study revealed that the job opportunity factor has a high effect on the motivation of the nursing students succeeding personal interest and work environment, while the social influence, and income had moderately affected the respondents. The motivation of the Nursing students in pursuing their program has many factors to be considered especially now that we are facing a pandemic. The school and the professors play a big role in helping the students to pursue their program and in motivating them to gain more achievements by giving them considerations and knowledge. In light of the above finding the following recommendations were made:
1. The factors mentioned in the study can be a basis to attract and encourage the students to take up nursing program and improve the recruitment strategies of the different universities by improving the least factors that motivated the respondents.
4. Face-to-face education is gradually opening, a special program for the laboratory subjects while in online education should be considered. eLearning became the norm for 2 years. The students lack the practice of doing laboratory activities such as experiments and hands-on activities. A special program should be implemented where the respondents can practice return demos.
3. For further research, the study can be a guide to identify new factors that lead to the motivation of medical students. A stable population size would help the researchers for their study.
