My name is Ann, most people call me Shelly. I love reading books and listening to music during my free time. I also love writing and drawing. I live in Caloocan City and have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
My first job was in a BPO company as a Technical Support Representative, I mostly assisted clients with their internet service and did the ticketing. I also worked in a shipping company and a bank as a loan officer, both I enjoyed immensely since they were challenging. I started working from home when my mother was diagnosed with cancer and I had to stay with her. When she passed away, I continued working from home because I found it more convenient and I got to take care of my family without the need to always interrupt my work. I’m not much for traveling and I usually plan my tour ahead of time. I’m a homebody and that’s why working from home is ideal to me. My first remote job was with Engage to Sell as a Chat Support and Lead Generator Specialist. We assisted clients interested in purchasing cars, motorcycles, boats, and sometimes planes. My second remote job was with Nextdoor as a Content Moderator. I was also assigned to their Fraud Department, where I usually checked for potential fraud or scams online to protect the clients from them. I love working for both because we don’t take calls unless we have team meetings. It also encouraged me to be more attentive and detail-oriented, plus it enhanced my typing skills.
As an employee, I have a positive attitude and value integrity above else, which I believe are essential for being, not only as a Virtual Assistant, but as a decent person.
