Hi, This is John from Go Solar, we’re working with the utility companies in your
area. Have you heard about the NEW no-cost renewable energy program? (Wait for
response)
(If yes) That’s great! What did you think of it? Is solar something you’d be
interested in?
(If no) That’s alright, They are making it easier than ever to take advantage of
incentives to help homeowners move into using renewable energy. (TELL THE
BENEFITS) Is that something you would be interested in?
Benefits: IF YOU QUALIFY FOR THIS PROGRAM THE BENEFITS ARE:
- No money down or there’s no up-front cost
- Your electric bill is replaced by your solar payment
- You get a tax credit between 8-12K
- The value of your home increases.
To qualify for this program, you need enough sun, a good enough roof, rafters, and
electrical panel. Would any of those things be an issue for you? (pause and wait for
answer)

- How long ago did that happen?
- I’m calling because of the New no-cost solar program. Are you aware of the
new clean energy mandate from the government that was recently passed?
- Well with the new no-cost solar program. There’s no upfront cost, there’s a
tax credit between 8-12 thousand dollars, and your electric bill is eliminated.
(Pause)

“I want solar but I'm not ready right now. “
- Ok, I totally understand. It seems like you would want solar at some point
right? (Pause) Would it be OK if I gave you a call a little bit later this year?
Just so you know the tax credit is running out for solar. For now, I’m just
going to ask you a few questions so when we do reach back we know your
energy situation.” - Start screening questions
“I don’t like the way solar looks”
- Yeah, solar years ago used to be big, bulky, and ugly. These days, Solar is
super low profile and sleek, usually black on black.” Was that the only reason
that you didn’t want to go solar? Just so you know, there’s quite a big tax
credit for solar and no up-front cost.” - Ask discovery questions.
“I’m not interested”
- Ok, why you aren’t interested?
“I already have solar”
- That's great! Is it covering all of your electric bill? We’ve added solar to
plenty of homes with pre-existing systems.
“I am already working with another solar company”
- It never hurts to get a second quote! Whenever you need you car fixed do
you usually shop around a few shops to see who has the best deal and seems
the most legit?
"How did you get my number?"
- We gather lists from third party sources that tell us which homes would be good
candidates for solar, then reach out to the homeowners to inform them that they
may qualify for the Net Metering program. Have you looked into getting solar before?
