I've worked in a BPO Company for 6 months for a project-based where I handled health insurance that covers prescription drug plan. We take inbound calls from member who asks if the presciption are covered by their plan. We assist customers regarding the preferred pharmacies for them to get their prescriptions. We are also trained to determine if their prescription require prior authorization and we can also process their prior authorization over the phone.
Then, I transferred company and worked in health insurance where we also take inbound calls from providers who inquires procedures for a member to check for the copay and coinsurance for the benefits or if they have specific CPT Codes for such procedures. We are also responsible to assist providers to check claims status and claims payments. Most importanly, I am a HIPAA COMPLIANT
