I am a bookkeeper and data entry started since 2016. My first job after my bachelor degree in accounting is being an accounting staff in a small firm. I was one responsible in payroll making, bank reconciliation, financial reports and even going to BIR, PHILHEALTH and Pag_IBIG offices to transact the updated contribution of each employee of the company. Last 2017, I was hired in Cebu Provincial Hospital as a collecting clerk. My task includes the following:
1. collect payments from customers or clients
2. record all transactions, including the amount paid, the method of payment, and any relevant details such as invoice numbers or account information.
3. reconcile payments received with invoices or accounts receivable records to ensure that all payments are accounted for and correctly applied.
4. assist customers with inquiries regarding their payments, account balances, or payment methods, providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues or discrepancies promptly.
5.collaborate with other departments such as billing, accounting, or customer service to resolve any payment-related issues and ensure smooth operations
6. follow up with customers who have overdue payments
7. sometimes when there is no billing clerk, I will be the one who will create invoices for patients based on the services they received during their hospital stay or visit
8. ensure that all billing practices comply with relevant laws and guidelines to avoid penalties or legal issues.
