• Monitors vital signs, does or supervise the giving of tepid sponge bath. Assist the duty physician in filling up request forms and giving instructions to patients or their relatives. Assist the Nursing
• Supervisor in assessing and prioritizing care of patients whether they are emergency cases or non-emergency cases. Initiates patient education plan, as prescribed by physician. Teaches patients and significant others how to manage their illness/injury, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs. Changes dressings, inserts catheters, starts IVs. Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.

Prepares equipment, instruments, and supplies needed in the care of Emergency room patients. Carries out nursing chores as ordered by physicians such as venoclysis, administration of medications, oxygen inhalations, nebulizing, suction secretions, placing of indwelling catheter, etc. Operates the various Emergency room equipment like ECG, defibrillator, pulse oximeter, etc. Assist physicians in the repair of lacerations, orthopedic manipulations and other procedures. Sutures minor and non-facial lacerations as ordered and supervised by physicians.
