• Calling insurances and utilizing insurance portals such as Availity, United Healthcare
portal, Cigna portal and BCBS portals to gather benefits and eligibility of the patient to estimate
patient hospital responsibility and collection of payments.
• Check if authorization is required for patient procedure and obtain it prior to their date
of service for patients’ appointment to avoid delays and additional fees.
