The Network Security Engineer L1 will be responsible for firewall configuration changes, basic troubleshooting, turning up new clients, and following up with clients regarding existing issues.
• Actively working tickets in the Network Security Engineer L1 Ticket Queue within the contracted SLA
• Follow up with open client tickets every 24 hours until closed
• Ensure all tickets are updated and assigned prior to leaving • Follow through and/or escalate issues that cannot beresolved to Level 2 Engineers
• Available and logged in to receive phone calls at all times with exception to breaks and lunch

• Provide 24x7 on-call support one week intervals based on the schedule

• Responsible for end-to-end provisioning, managing, and troubleshooting of newly installed circuits such as DIA, SME, IBIZ, Transport, and FTTX (PON and GPON).
• Manages network databases such as Metro-E Circuit ID, IP and VLAN, EoMPLS IP management, and the 3RD Party Circuit ID.
• Allocates IPv4 addresses (public and private) and VLANs to the customers.
• Provide appropriate configuration of CPEs prior to deployment at customer sites.
• Collaborats with Field Engineers, Presales Engineers, Project Managers, Regional Branches, and 3rd Party Contractors to provide technical assistance and support in delivering service.

• Handles configuration changes to existing customers, such as upgrades, downgrades, change packages, site transfers, migrations (hardware replacement), disconnections, and reconnections.
• Worked with network equipment vendors, ensuring timely delivery of hardware, software updates, and support services.
• Facilitated knowledge transfer within the team and improved troubleshooting efficiency.
• Perform regular backups of critical network data and configurations, ensuring data integrity and availability in case of unforeseen incidents.
