1. How is information technology affecting our lives, globally?

Information Technology is an enabler of growth (Ukwando, 2013, p. 607). No one can afford to

be left behind. Small and medium-sized businesses should be encouraged to adopt e-commerce so

that growth prospects can be pursued more aggressively. Companies should internalize their

online company in order to keep up with the global Internet trend. In the academic and corporate

worlds, considerably greater emphasis should be focused on new technology training. We must

take chances in order to stay one step ahead of the curve.

2. How is information technology affecting our lives, in society?

The impact of information technology on our society is great. Development of electronic

commerce has made it very convenient for individual buyer to select the product online and make

payment immediately (Deb, 2014, p.28). This feature could lead to people never leaving their

homes, doing everything from the comfort of their own homes, and possibly culminating in

housebound folks who could not leave their homes even if they wanted to. (Mahmud, M. S., &

Azmi, N. B. 2017, p. 9) studied that the advancement of information technology has plays an

important role in changing society. One thing is our learning system, it gives us better access to

resources and we can take the activities and quizzes easily and for the teachers being able to hold

online classes effectively. However, this would affect us in a negative way when it comes to

social interaction to our family and friends physically. It has good impact but somehow it has

downside that we cannot avoid.

3. How is information technology affecting our lives, and in the current era?

Technology has turned our world upside down. By the use of ICT gadgets in our lifestyle, many

time-consuming calculation and tough tasks has become easier and social contacts has been

increased (Bosamia, M. 2013, p.4). With the use of information-technology we can communicate

to our loved ones who is miles away on our home and because of this pandemic we cannot travel

to different places and visit our relatives. However, the downside of this is we can’t be sure if our

information is secured. Although it can have positive impact on our life, we must be careful when

using it because it may have a detrimental impact. As a result, ICT is the new technologies of the

digital age that have been accessible in our daily lives with a bewildering blend of guaranteed

benefits and some drawbacks.
