Bookkeeping

QuickBooks Online Experience (Internship-Based)
During my bookkeeping internship, I gained hands-on training using QuickBooks Online (QBO) to perform key bookkeeping tasks in a simulated business environment. Although I have not yet used QBO in a professional work setting, I have developed a strong foundational understanding of the platform through guided practice and exercises.
Skills I Developed Using QuickBooks Online:
Chart of Accounts – Set up and organize accounts to track income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
Data Importing – Imported lists for customers, vendors, and products/services into QBO.
Bank Feeds & Reconciliation – Importing and categorizing bank transactions and reconciling with company records.
Invoicing & Payments – Created sample invoices, recorded customer payments, and tracked accounts receivable.
Bills & Expenses – Entered vendor bills, categorized expenses, and practiced monitoring payment schedules.
Automation – Set up simple bank rules to streamline transaction categorization.
Journal Entries – Gained experience recording manual journal entries for corrections and adjustments.
Financial Reports – Generated basic financial statements such as the P&L Statement and Balance Sheet.
This experience has helped me build confidence in using QuickBooks Online and prepared me to support real businesses with their bookkeeping needs. I am eager to apply and expand this knowledge in a professional role.
