5 Steps to Manage Social Media Well

Social media is one of the most important tools to market your business. It has become an integral part of our lives, and it is difficult to imagine an event without posting it on social media.
It is a great way to promote your business and engage with people interested in your product or service. However, if you do not manage social media well, it can cause more harm than good.
Here are proven ways on how I manage different social media platforms effectively.
1. Plan ahead
The first step in managing your social media is to plan what you will post and when. This is where having a calendar comes in handy. Using Business Suite, Creator Studio, and Canva Pro is highly recommended if you are a start-up business or freelance. If you want to dive into this, use a tool like Hootsuite or Buffer to schedule out posts ahead of time so that they go live at the right time for optimal engagement based on which platform you’re using (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
2. Create content that engages your audience.
If all you do is a post about discounts or promotions, people will stop following you because they know that all they will see are ads from you. Instead, try posting about different topics related to your business so that people get entertained as well as informed about things happening within the industry.
3. Be consistent with posting times and frequency.
It is important that you post regularly on social media as it keeps your followers engaged and interested in what you post. If you keep posting at regular intervals (like every day or every week), people will get used to your schedule and check out what you have been posting. This increases the chances of them reading your posts and engaging with them.
4. Respond to comments promptly.
Responding to customer concerns on social media is an important part of customer service. You must show your customers that you care about them and listen to what they say.
5. Don’t overuse hashtags.
We all know the importance of using hashtags on social media, but sometimes we can get a little carried away with them.
Use related hashtags specific to your post and industry, not just generic ones like #marketing or #socialmedia (this is where knowing your audience comes in handy).
