- As an insurance claims officer, I provide customer service to policyholders by tending to their policy inquiries, gathering accurate information in the event of a claim, referring them to partner tradespeople, which includes assessors, towing companies, repairers, builders, etc, to ensure that they are serviced right away and provided with peace of mind.
- As a claims processor, I manage a bucket of claims. I ensure that it progresses from lodgement to inspection, quotation, assessment, repair, payment, and recovery when possible. I see to it that in each stage, the customer is well-informed, all tradespeople are followed through, and required payments are issued and recovered in a timely manner. This has resulted in the insurance company's claims cost being the average or below than forecasted annually which ultimately increased annual profit by 10-20%.
- As a subject matter expert, I piloted and championed the cross-skilling initiative in the claims department. This project aimed to equip the select group of claims officers with the knowledge and skills to handle other insurance products, which includes
- insurance sold by financial institutions, brokers, etc. This has allowed multiple teams to help each other's call queue which resulted in lesser wait times, an increase in SLA and productivity.
- As a subject matter expert, since the cross-skilling initiative was proven effective, I was tasked to lead and facilitate the succeeding cross-skill training of other claims which increased the efficiency gain of more than 50% across the claims department. As the efficiency increased, so as the customer satisfaction, retention, and promoter rating which contributed to the success of the project and the growth of the company.
- As a subject matter expert, I provide floor support to my team members, quality and peer coaching. This has helped maintain a good work environment and increased quality output.
