-Responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group programs (group health, dental, vision, workers' compensation, life insurance, retirement plan, etc.)
-Help people access caller information via a list or database of phone numbers or other contact information
-Greeting customers in a friendly, professional manner using the suggested script
-Provide members and health care practitioners with details regarding members' benefits.
-Calculate the benefit expected and update patient information
-Investigate and resolve any issues of discrepancies in claims
-Maintain accurate records of claims and payment
-Review patient’s authorization status utilizing the tools and websites needed to provide appropriate action and update authorization status
-Contact insurers to obtain payer specific prior authorization for all clinical, laboratory and pharmacy services
