Hotel & Restaurant Management
Asia's Latin Institute (ALI)
Hi, a pleasant and happy day to you. Welcome. I'm glad you wanted to know more about me.
I volunteered at a church called Jesus’ Family Life House for 5 years, where I became part of the committee. We have 12 members on the committee.
One of our roles is event planning and preparation. This role involves organizing and managing various aspects of an event, such as budget, venue, entertainment, and registration. Event planning and preparation require creativity, communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
As I progressed and equipped myself throughout the years, I also volunteered to manage kids' ministries, which included teaching. My task was preparing lessons for the kids and presenting them to our leader for approval. As a result, I was also asked to become a teacher at a camp for kids. I was given the opportunity to design the flow of the camp and what lessons and activities to do during the event. It was a great experience because I could learn what I’m capable of with little supervision during that time, and it was because of my past experiences. I can proudly say that I was able to manage it well.
We have a program called Campus Ministries where we do ministries in various schools, teach students a lesson about the Word of God, and gain their trust as a result. What I learned and experienced from this is that I got the chance to meet different people and learn to maintain good relationships with others. Since gaining and convincing youths to join the church and make changes for themselves is our goal, I have learned and used various strategies, such as social media by posting campaigns and contacting friends of friends if they have the time and interest, a sort of referral program through the students, which we already gained first by convincing classmates and schoolmates. We always propose Youthnited as an event where we gather the youth that we have potentially gained from the school ministry and attract new candidates. I’m able to bring quality produce or fruit to the church.
