As a Medical Assistant Officer, I am assigned to keep records of our patients in our clinic system, answering of inbound and outbound calls and transfer the call to the correct department, appointment setting and scheduling either through phone calls, emails or chats. It is also my responsibility to answer patient inquiries, as well as greeting and ensuring patients were being assisted. It is also part of my work to cater patient’s payment, cash or card, and to give them their statement of account and with their receipts. It is also my job to audit our sales at the end of the day and will submit my printed Daily Cash Position Report (DCPR) to our accounting department.

This position requires me to record all the patients who set their schedule through online, either through email or through our social media, and put it on our system such as their basic information, which department, what will be their procedure, time and date of their appointment. I am also responsible to check in our system if the patient has already done check-ups or have already visited the facility so that our doctors will be able to see their past health records to our system and be able to compare the past record and their present condition.
