As a Chairman for Quality and Patient Safety, we handle various committees such as Morbidity and Mortality Committee, Patient Complaint and Surgery KPI (Key Performance Indicator); and numerous Taskforce for Quality Improvement like Surgery Winter Resilience, Taskforce to discuss resolutions for Patient with Long-stay and design surgical pathways for different specialties. We are busy department handling and taking care patient issues to find solution thus to promote improvement with collaboration with other department involve and with the hospital Quality and Patient Safety (QPS) Department. The Department of Surgery is one of the largest department in the medical services; which composes of 10 division and these are Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Podiatric Surgery, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, ENT Surgery, Urology Surgery and Thoracic Surgery; at the same time the hospital provides teaching to medical students, interns and to our surgical residents from different specialties.

Lizell is experienced in performing all administrative work where she is the one provides training to incoming secretaries and assessed their performance as a Senior secretary. Her work as a chairman’s secretaries comes with great responsibilities. She is the main person handling the department database for correspondences, meetings, workshops, research, conferences and other task assigned to the Chairman’s Office. She monitored and arranged my daily calendar, arrange and transcribe hospital and departmental meetings. Update the department manuals, job description, pathways and other policies as instructed by the higher management. She organized conferences and arranged everything with collaboration by the staff, members of the committee and other department; where in fact she successfully organized the Surgery Retreat Day, Surgery Research Day and Prep-U for Urology Residents.
