I am a licensed Filipino physician who is currently working in the corporate world, as an occupational health physician. This means that I have a lot of free time to spare and what better way to do it than to earn more by working from home. What drives me to become a medical virtual assistant is the possibility of migrating to another country in the future. Getting familiar with their healthcare is a step ahead to that goal.

As an OH physician, I am responsible for carrying out the development and
implementation of the company’s occupational health management system that includes a lot
of health programs, to name a few: non-communicable diseases (hypertension, diabetes
mellitus), communicable diseases (TB. Hepatitis B, HIV-AIDS), public health programs (smoking
cessation, heat-illness prevention, flu and pneumococcal vaccination, stress management,
weight reduction for overweight and obese employees). I also manage occupational health
illnesses and injuries at the workplace.
As a medical doctor in general practice, I handled pediatric and adult medical
and minor surgical cases at the emergency department, out-patient department, and managed
in-patients as well.
I helped my friend cardiologist (fellow alumna) set up her online clinic during
the pandemic, back when I was still a medical student in Iloilo City, Philippines. Due to the
lockdown, most of her patients had a hard time in following-up so we made an online clinic via
NowServing app by SeriousMD. As the secretary, I enrolled her patients to the online clinic,
scheduled online consultations, 12L ECG and 2D echo procedures at the hospital, encoded the
electronic prescriptions and laboratory requests and sent them to the patients.
