 Ensuring the occupational health and safety requirements as promulgated by the standards and company safety plan.
 Ensure compliance of worker force, service providers, engineering contractors and subcontractors in order to maintain safety standards, performance and safety culture.
 Responds to accidents whenever necessary especially when there are persons involved.
 Conducts incident investigation including root cause analysis in parallel with the department’s safety point person and management.
 Inspects and evaluates workplace safety and health, equipment and practices to ensure safety standards and government regulations are being followed at all times.
 Monitors and updates evacuation maps, chemical mapping, signage mapping and installation, and safe man-hours and incidence rates.
 Coordinated with the department for the provision and use of PPEs in the workplace.
 Conducts Driving Written Examination, Driving Orientation and evaluates personnel’s driving skills (regular and jobcon drivers) in accordance with the company and government’s rules and regulations before allowing them to drive a company-owned vehicle.
 Sends safety and health tips thru text on a weekly basis as part of the safety info awareness.
 Sends safety and health infographics on a weekly basis and during holidays for all employees who have email access.
 Conducts occupational safety and health related trainings and orientations for all employees including jobcon when necessary.
 Assists in the conduct of drills headed by the management of Safety and Health Department.
 Conducts evaluation of new facilities and newly installed equipment.
 Conducts daily, weekly and periodic inspections.
