Working in the transport industry for five years has provided me with a wealth of experience and skills, particularly in customer service and financial accuracy. For the first three years, I excelled as a Ticket Seller/Shipping Teller, where my primary responsibility was to provide exceptional customer service. This role required me to interact directly with customers, assist them with ticket purchases, answer inquiries, and resolve any issues they encountered. In addition to these roles, I have also taken on the responsibilities of a Bus Stewardess, assisting passengers on board on a point-to-point trip. My role involved ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers and that each customer had a positive experience.
After three years, I transitioned to the role of Ticket Verifier, a position that demanded a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. In this capacity, I was responsible for meticulously encoding and verifying the remittances from conductors and the sales reports from ticket sellers. My main objective was to ensure that there were no discrepancies such as overages or shortages in the remittances. This role also involved preventing any potential misuse of funds, such as rolling collections or unremitted remittances. By maintaining stringent checks and balances, I helped uphold the financial integrity of the operations.
