My name is Jhade Flores, but feel free to call me Jhade. I'm a 23-year-old Filipina currently based in the Philippines, particularly in a city with a rich history, beautiful beaches, and thriving urban life, no other than the "Queen City of the South"—Cebu. I'm currently enjoying the flexibility and focus that come with working remotely. I started my career as an online ESL tutor for Japanese students of all ages, which helped me develop strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt to people across cultures and diverse backgrounds. The position has taught me to boost my confidence in speaking professionally, which has stayed with me throughout my career, and is a trait that is highly valuable for the role of a Virtual Assistant. I then transitioned to a remote role as a Search Query Evaluator, where I developed my focus on detail and learned how to assess online content with critical thinking and accuracy. Eventually, I moved into customer service and admin support, where I spent over two years working in a BPO company for a retail account. In addition to my professional work, I was able to launch a small home-based dessert business, which I promoted exclusively through Facebook Marketplace. Without a business page, I had to rely on creative strategies, captions, and visuals to attract customers. Running this small venture gave me hands-on experience in product marketing, basic inventory tracking, customer engagement, and content writing—skills that complement my professional background and fuel my passion for supporting businesses, big or small.
