-Respond to fire calls and other emergencies.
-Transport and endorse patients to definitive health care facility
-Conducts training on BLS(Basic Life Support)
-Perform nursing assessment systematically based on hemodialysis treatment record like cardiac status, respiratory status, mental status, fluid status, skin assessment, condition of dialysis access.
-Prepare hemodialysis machine through proper disinfection and rinsing.
-Perform cannulation of arterio-venous fistulas and grafts.
-Maintain competency with all emergency operational procedures and initiates CPR and emergency measures in the event of a cardiac or respiratory arrest.
-Carry out dialysis prescription including heparin dosage, blood flow rate, and duration of treatment, sodium modeling and ultrafiltration target.
-Implements, administers, monitors and documents patient’s response to prescribed interdialytic blood transfusions, including appropriate notification of adverse reaction to physician and appropriate blood supplier.
-Start-up, set-up, operation, rinse and disinfection of dialysis machines. Priming of dialyzers including all safety checks related to the reuse of dialyzers.
-Pre and post- dialysis nursing evaluation of patients, including sign-off after each dialysis shift on treatment records for assigned patients.
-Monitor patients throughout their hemodialysis treatment including vital signs, machine checks, and emergency intervention and tends to miscellaneous patient needs.
-Administration of medications to patients per physician order.
-Maintain basic life support CPR Certification which includes CPR and other resuscitative measures as indicated and operations of the AED where appropriate as prompted in emergency situations.
-Function as a relief Charge Nurse when necessary including the daily check of emergency equipment, physician communication.
Analyzing engagement data, identifying trends in customer interaction and planning digital campaigns to build community.
