Assisting the purchasing manager or coordinator with purchasing tasks: This may include placing orders with suppliers, negotiating prices, and monitoring delivery schedules.
Maintaining purchasing records and databases: The purchasing assistant may be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all purchasing activity, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules.
