To render nursing care to patients coming for check up or admission either supportive or restorative of life and well-being.
To asses, plan and implement Nursing care based on identified physical health problems through case finding, health teaching & counseling.
To provide a comfortable environment and give moral support by explaining the routine procedures to be done while having an initial treatment or during their first hour in the ward.
To assist the attending physician while examining the patient or doing any medical or surgical procedures and follow doctors order such as stqrting the treatment like inserting IV cannula, giving IV fluids, administering O2 inhalation etc.

To assist & render nursing care to pregnant patients in labor endorsed from er or opd, but procedures may vary accdg. To hospital settings or according to the bed capacity of the hospital and the modernization of facilities.
To provide a comfortable environment, check the vital signs as baseline and know the obstetrical history of the patient if there are any complications noticed during pregnancy and other hereditary diseases and to inform the attending physician if there are any.
To monitor the fetal heart beat using CTG (cephalotocograph) machine so with the intensity and durations of abdominal contractions.
To prepqre the patient for delivery.
