• responsible for tracking and analyzing performance metrics related to the logistics operations of a company
• use scorecards, which are tools that provide an overview of key performance indicators (KPIs), to measure the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality of the logistics processes
• gathers data from various sources within the logistics chain, such as transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and customer delivery performance
• Track key metrics like delivery times, transportation costs, order accuracy, inventory levels, and other performance benchmarks. These metrics are essential to understanding how well the logistics operations are functioning
• Prepare and present performance reports to management or other relevant stakeholders. The goal is to highlight areas of improvement and suggest solutions to any issues identified in the metrics
• evaluate the performance of logistics partners, vendors, or internal teams, identifying trends and areas needing improvement
• often works with the logistics team to implement process changes or improvements to optimize the supply chain, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
