As Senior Accountant/Analyst, it is responsible for processing and reviewing ACH disbursements. This involves ensuring that payments through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system are processed accurately and efficiently, adhering to all necessary protocols. Additionally, the analyst is tasked with the regular review and processing of commission summary reports on both a bi-weekly and monthly basis. These reports include individual,group, and credit life commissions, all of which require careful attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Another key responsibility is submitting monthly bank reconciliation reports. The analyst ensures that all discrepancies between the company’s records and bank statements are identified and resolved in a timely manner. Alongside this, they are responsible for posting various summary journal entries each month, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. The monitoring of monthly reports related to cash flow tracking, including financial statement (FS) and policy loan asset data, is also a critical component of the role, as it ensures that the organization’s financial position is accurately reflected.

Handling policy inquiries and concerns related to bank drafts is another key aspect of this role. The specialist works closely with the PHS and branches to resolve policyholder issues promptly and accurately. Additionally, the specialist reviews and analyzes payment histories for policyholders, particularly regarding refund requests and payment discrepancies, to ensure that all payment-related issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Finally, the Senior Accountant/Analyst is responsible for cleaning up suspense and unapplied payments, ensuring that all transactions are properly accounted for and that no amounts are left unprocessed. Reviewing terminated policies also falls under the specialist’s purview, requiring careful analysis to ensure that all terminations are handled accurately and in accordance with company policies.
