Typing Test
Taking a typing test is crucial for a data entry specialist, as it demonstrates proficiency and accuracy, two essential skills for the role. Typing tests measure speed and precision, ensuring that data is entered quickly and correctly, minimizing errors that can lead to significant issues. Google Sheets
As part of my application for the Data Entry Specialist position, I developed a comprehensive sample Customer Database using Google Sheets. This project showcases my ability to efficiently manage and organize data, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Project Highlights:
Data Collection: Compiled detailed dummy data for 30 customers, including:
- Full Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Address
- Date of Birth
- Purchase History (Date of Purchase, Items Purchased, Quantity, Price, Total Amount, Order Number, Payment Method)
- Notes/Comments
Data Organization:
- Sorted the data alphabetically by Full Name to facilitate quick reference.
- Applied filters to all columns for easy searching and data manipulation.
Formatting for Readability:
- Bolded headings and adjusted column widths for a clean and professional appearance.
- Applied text wrapping to ensure all information is visible without compromising readability.
Data Validation:
- Implemented data validation rules to maintain the integrity of the data:
- Ensured dates were entered in valid formats.
- Applied custom number formats to phone numbers for consistency.

Final Touches:
- Froze the header row to keep column titles visible during navigation.
