Stenography
Stenography is a method used for writing down the words that someone says very quickly by using a special type of writing (called shorthand). A stenographer is a professional who transcribes the spoken word into coded language. They typically use shorthand and a steno machine to transcribe information. Stenographers may also caption live broadcasts for the deaf and elderly. They learn a type of shorthand which allows them to take notes rapidly.
