About Myself

In the vast array of skills that Virtual Assistants can do, I chose to pursue Bookkeeping since I am good at working with numbers, my education and experiences also complement well with the abovementioned skill. I have pursued online learning with QuickBooks ProAdvisor Academy and Xero Central to expand my knowledge base and have enjoyed every step of the way. I like seeing how the numbers translate into growth of a business and would very much like to have the opportunity to do the same with international clients within the virtual bookkeeping landscape.

Secondary Education / High School Diploma

I graduated from Philippine Science High School - Bicol Region Campus, part of the Philippine Science High School System; considered a top science high school in the Philippines and among the best in the ASEAN region.

Graduates of the PSHS system are considered gifted in Mathematics and the Sciences; the National Competitive Examination, which serves as the screening process, boasts a 4 - 6% pass rate on average, and are qualified to be admitted into the system.

I applied for an internship course as their Bookkeeper; as their Intern, I was tasked to perform the duties of a Bookkeeper, from collecting and recording transactions, creating journal entries, performing reconciliations, managing employees and payroll, and creating financial reports using Xero as the accounting software of choice.

I provided bookkeeping services for a local startup looking to establish a poultry farm. My responsibilities included:
- creating invoices and bills to recognize operational expenses and sales revenues,
- creating financial reports to check on the business's economic health,
- and recording the growth from chicks to chickens to formulate growing strategies, minimizing losses due to death.
