Encoding Grades

Data entry of student grades involves recording scores from three main components: written works, performance tasks, and periodical exams. Written works include quizzes, assignments, and other tasks that assess students' understanding of concepts. Performance tasks evaluate how students apply their knowledge through projects, presentations, or practical activities. Periodical exams are comprehensive tests that measure learning at the end of a grading period. Teachers compute these scores and encode them using Microsoft Excel, where each assessment is entered into a spreadsheet. Excel allows for easy organization, calculation of totals, and application of weightings using formulas. This helps generate accurate final grades efficiently.
