Oversee all payroll requirements fortnightly, including superannuation, work cover and PAYG transactions.
With the assistance of HR, ensure accurate recording of employee work hours, leaves, and absences, and reconcile G/L accounts with payroll records after every fortnightly payment to ensure proper payment.
Prepare a full set of accurate financial accounts (Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss) for each company on a monthly basis, comparing actual with budget with explanation of variances by 3rd WD of the next month.
Support the Financial Manager in preparation of a 12 Month Profit and Loss, balance sheet and cash flow budget annually.
Prepare financial forecasts for special projects as required by management.
Follow the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and financial analysis.
Maintain and enforce financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure integrity in financial reporting.
Prepare and lodge the BAS reports monthly or quarterly based on the state requirement before the due date.
