Hospital Capacity for COVID-19 Cases

There are restrictions on hospital care capacity for individuals with acute symptoms, therefore the daily increase in COVID-19 infections is a serious worry (e.g. difficulty in breathing). If the number of affected people increases quickly, the hospital care facilities can eventually become overburdened. In its most recent model run, the UP COVID-19 Pandemic Response Team predicted that by the end of April 2020, there would be between 9,000 and 44,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases. The DOH reports a total of 5,660 confirmed cases as of April 16.
