Who is Aileen?
Hi! I am Aileen Gay Cubing, graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering. I have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities. I have a wide range of experience in different industries.
First, I worked in a BPO as a customer service representative where I learned to deal with customers of all kinds. Later on, I was transferred to the web hosting department where I learned new skills in photoshop editing and SEO of the websites of our clients. While in the BPO I also experienced working as an English trainer. There I discovered that I have a passion for teaching. After 3 years working in the BPO, I became an ESL (English as a Second Language) Tutor for Koreans. This was the beginning of my online teaching career. In 2010 I became a part of the team that sourced and screened candidates for an AuPair agency in The Netherlands. Later on, worked with another ESL online school for Chinese nationals. Most of my students were professionals so my schedule was after office hours. During the day, I do my tour guiding career and all other things. I made sure that I’m home by 6 pm so I can prepare for my classes. This went on until 2015.
Prior pandemic, I had a small t-shirt and souvenir printing business. It was a perfect pair to my tour guiding profession. However, it closed when the pandemic came. It was during this time that I started to create my Fb page for the nutritional product which I was selling. I managed my page and created Ads to boost engagement. I learned to use canva for graphics, presentation and short video clips. Being in an online environment needs constant learning, and I do my best to be updated with it. I believe that success is achieved with hard work and determination. With these experiences, I am ready and excited to face a new journey working with new people. Looking forward to meeting you 😊
