Working as a Staff Nurse, assigned in adult long term care patients and Active rehab patients requiring specialized care in a rehabilitation setting, having suffered strokes, near-drownings, brain injuries, muscular-skeletal injuries, or neurological and congenital conditions.
As a staff nurse, I actively participate in daily clinical rounds and Interdisciplinary (IDT) discussions, administering prescribed medications following International Patient Safety Goals including the medication rights to reduce the potential for medication errors.
Handling patients with Tracheostomy, PEG/ PEJ tube for feeding and Patients with multiple contraptions.
Monitors the patient’s progress toward goals; collaborates with the multi – disciplinary team to promote patient safety and evaluation against the Plan of Care
Carry out clinical practice ensuring that high quality, current evidence-based nursing assessment, care planning, implementation, interventions and evaluations for residents are provided from admission through discharge
Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize workload independently
Initiates appropriate preventive and clinical nursing procedures.
Counsels the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs.
Complies with all organizational policies
Possesses the specialized knowledge and clinical skills required to provide care for people with physical disability and chronic illness.
• Provided basic patient care and treatment, such as administering medications and intravenous fluids, blood tests, taking vital signs and dressing wounds.
• Supported diagnoses by taking blood, urine or sputum samples from patients for laboratory testing.
• Helped patients complete day-to-day tasks, including bathing, dressing and eating.
Transport Nurse Duties and Responsibilities
Transporting Patient from CMRC to outside areas, other facilities for consultation, follow up, diagnostic procedures, and etc. Providing safety and nursing care, meeting the medical needs while transporting the patient.
Operates equipment needed for monitoring and nursing procedures
constantly assesses the patient enroute to the emergency facility, outpatient setting, ambulance service setting and when, patient transfer is needed to an appropriate healthcare facility/inter- facility.,
assists in lifting and carrying the patient out of the ambulance and into the receiving medical facility
reports verbally and in writing observations and medical care rendered to the patient, to the receiving medical facility staff for purposes of records and diagnostics
Assigned to prepare the necessary daily consumables for the ambulance and
Performs yearly renewal of Ambulance HAAD Audit for BLS licensing.
