Exercise immediate supervisory control and authority over faculty and staff in his or her department;
Assists the College Dean in the preparation of class schedules and teaching load;
Monitors and tracks down program of students under the degree offering of the department and
constantly updates records and student files (Plan of Study);
Initiates review, verification, and validation of records of student transferees already admitted in
the University;
Designs curricular proposals and/or constantly monitors, reviews and updates existing curriculum
offering of the department to safeguard its integrity, relevance, and usefulness in the professional
market;
Serves as immediate feedback channel of the teachers to the college leadership and university
administration; and
Performs such other duties and responsibilities analogous, significant, and related to and/or implied
from the above enumeration and such other functions as may be designated by College Dean,
VPAA or the President.
