As a house runner, I assist with running errands, maintain supplies, assist the housekeeping staff, help with light cleaning, collect and deliver laundry, assist guests, and deliver requested items to guest rooms.
My role involves overseeing the entire laundry process, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing of linens, towels, uniforms, and other hotel items. I ensure efficient operations and adherence to established standards while monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of laundry equipment. Managing inventory, controlling expenses, implementing quality control measures, and conducting regular inspections are crucial aspects of my responsibilities. I address any issues promptly, maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, and promote a safe working environment. Effective communication with other hotel departments and collaboration with the laundry team ensure smooth operations and coordination of laundry needs.
This involves tasks such as cleaning and maintaining guest rooms according to hotel standards, making beds, changing linens, and restocking amenities. I also vacuum, mop, and dust furniture and fixtures, clean and sanitize bathrooms, replenish towels and toiletries, and report maintenance or repair needs. Additionally, I clean and maintain the lobby, hallways, and other public areas, provide excellent customer service, cooperate with other staff members, and respect guests' privacy.
