(ICT Program Head/Professor/ USAID Program Project Manager/ICT Project Panelist/Thesis Coordinator/Thesis Adviser/Faculty)
* As an ICT STI Program Head I am primarily responsible and personally accountable for the effective and efficient delivery of academic services in the ICT program/department. Also, functions of the Program Head include Faculty Recruitment, Selection, and Promotion, Performance Appraisal and Academic Personnel Development, Supervision and Monitoring of Instruction, Student Support and Development, Community Extension, Resource Management, and Academic Administration. ICT Program Head is also responsible for making class schedules every semester, crediting subjects, evaluating students, and giving subjects and schedules to students every enrollment.
*As a USAID Program Project Manager, I am responsible for planning and implementing the program for out-of-school youth (OSY), from OSY recruitment to transitioning them in either further education, employment, or entrepreneurship.
*As an ICT Project Panel member, my duties and Responsibilities were to objectively evaluate the group's ICT Project output and contribute positively to the defense exercise by asking pertinent questions that would clarify and assess the group's knowledge of the topic of their study and the production of their output.
* As Thesis Coordinator my duties and responsibilities were to ensure that the activities and requirements mentioned in the courseware are delivered and implemented, ensure that all Thesis advisee assignment of a Thesis Group is based on their topic and the area of specialization of the faculty member, Consolidates the accomplished Thesis Consultation Forms; ensures that the assignment of the panel members during the final defense is based on the qualifications listed in this guideline, and ensures that the schedules and activities during title/proposal presentation defense, final defense, and re-defense are strictly complied with. Furthermore, gathering all Thesis projects and the best Thesis project from the Thesis Project Panel and send it to the Courseware Development STI Head Office for archiving was one of my responsibilities.
* As thesis adviser, my primary responsibilities included reviewing and providing
feedback on the project proposal of the group and drafts to refine their research. I guided them in defining research questions, selecting methodologies, and addressing challenges. We had regular meetings to discuss their progress, and I recommended relevant resources and tools to support their work. I assisted them in setting and adhering to a timeline for their research milestones and ensured that their project complied with ethical standards. Additionally, I conducted a final review of their completed thesis to ensure it met academic standards before submission and defense. My role was to support them throughout the process, helping them develop their research, writing skills and system development.
* As an ICT Faculty, my job duties include planning lessons according to Curriculum Standards, Stay Abreast of the Latest IT Trends, Perform Regular Hardware and Software Updates in the Computer Laboratory, Monitor Student Progress Through Administrating Assignments, Quizzes, and Tests, and Keep Track of Student Grades to know if there is a need for interventions at the same time reward students who got a high grade. Aside from instructional responsibilities, faculty has Professional Responsibilities that talk about professional growth and development.
