More Info About Me
Hi, I am Judy Ann Malate, 26 years old with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management major in Operations Management. I started working in a manning agency at the age of 21 a few months later after I graduated from college, the same company where I started my on-the-job training as a student. They offered a job and hired me since they liked my service of work and were assigned as a Crewing Assistant under the Operations department. Documentation is my work where I am responsible for checking valid documents and certificates of a seafarer. I also tell them what training they need to take based on their position. I encode and upload their data, and training certificates in a different online data system as per the client’s requirements. I also booked tickets, and hotels and answered emails if needed. I even handled some HR work like searching and calling some applicants who were available and wanted to join the vessel.
In my four years of being a Crewing Assistant in a Manning Agency, it is not easy to do all those tasks and work, but I could say that it is all worth it. Why? Because even if I faced a lot of challenges and difficulties it gives me a lot of knowledge and skills, learned how to multitask and organized work, learned how to handle and solved problems in any situation, and most especially learned how to communicate with others and lastly, gained a lot of patience which I can all use as a Virtual Assistant and be able to help others businesses to grow. Aside from this, I can work in the comfort of my home without compromising the safety of my family during this time of the pandemic.
I know all these learnings and skills are not enough to compete with others who have a lot of experience as a Virtual Assistant that is why I enrolled myself in the General Virtual Assistant Training online course at PRO VA and will continue to grow in this field and be an accountable, creative, resourceful, helpful, and hardworking Virtual Assistant in your company. I’m looking forward to working with you and helping your business thrive.
