• Accountable in administrative tasks such as answering inquiries from patients, doctors, and other staff; scheduling of patients; referral management; preparing medical certificates, forms, and documents; filing of medical records; creating report about the department’s census.
• Responsible for providing precise treatments for patients in accordance with the physician’s orders.
• Helps the engineer and medical physicist perform machine’s preventive maintenance to ensure proper operation of the radiation therapy equipment.
• Implements standard radiation oncology policies and procedure throughout the practice.
• Coordinates the assignment of tasks and helps resolve technical and operational problems.
• Provide effective direction, guidance, and leadership over radiation therapists for effective teamwork and motivation and fosters the effective integration of efforts with system-wide initiatives.
• Works cooperatively with managers and members of other departments.
• Ensures the timely and cost-effective ordering of supplies.
• Complies with health and safety regulations and requirements. Guarantees all staff members follow radiation protection policies.
• Respects diverse views and approaches and contributes to maintain an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients, and visitors.
